       Does anyone have a good sense of why we’re seeing retrenchments across the consulting space this year?Announced layoffs include:Accenture 19kNCC 7%BishopFox 13%McKinsey 2kKPMG 700EY 3kDeloitte 1.2kIt’s slower this year than last year’s phenomenal H1 - did people just overhire?        @singe There's a prevailing "challenging operating environment" among all the blue-chips right now. Dunno about the over-hiring, but "budgets slashed" is definitely happening.

       @singe It might make the press a few months from now, but one of my clients (blue-chip brand in the computing space) is pulling back *hard* on marketing spend right now, and that has a downstream impact on bodyshops.
