@Sapphoro I support women who are CF however lots of young women donât think they want kids until it hits them a few years later in life. I donât think a woman this young should have her uterus removed. I saw a post on the CF sub yesterday where a 19 year old was excited a doctor was going to give her a full hysterectomy and I pointed out sheâd be thrown into menopause at the age of 19. I have a feeling that it may have been a karma farming post as itâs extremely rare to find a GYN who will do a full hysterectomy on a woman that young who isnât a TIF. It was the BEST thing ever, and I wish I'd had it done in my 30s instead of my 40s. At the time I started pushing my docs for the surgery, I had lost so much blood I was having emergency transfusions. It was almost impossible to find a doctor to do it. "That's why it should only be done if your life is in danger and the not getting it done is riskier than getting it." NO. Not true at all. I've had no problems from my surgery, and neither did my mother and grandmother. It was exhausting trying to fight past these myths. The reason I was refused for so long was due to the fact that the board of directors of Kaiser Permanente are conservative Christians who believe "our first priority is to preserve a woman's fertility". I was childless by choice, married to a man who didn't want kids. I was also a cervical cancer survivor at the time, and didn't want to be looking over my shoulder for the rest of my life. To say the procedure was a huge relief is an understatement.

Many women do have horrible periods, and this option should be available to them, especially if they have had adverse reactions to birth control pills, which some women take to have regular periods, or to stop them altogether. BC pills were not recommended for me due to my history of cervical cancer. Any woman who chooses BC pills for period control should be carefully screened and vaccinated against HPV, and use condoms.

It's also worth mentioning that there are some STIs that you can still get even if you wear a condom, because they are transmitted through skin-to-skin contact. It's one of the many reasons I was always more of a serial monogamist than into hookup culture. When you take a relationship slowly, you find out what the other person's agenda is, and you literally get to um... inspect them before getting down to it. I'm SUPER picky when it comes to hygiene, too, so that always added time to the "courtship". Most guys know to shower for a first date. It takes time to figure out if they are secret slobs.

I am supposed to stay 1-2 nights even though it is also a laparoscopic procedure, but they are also to deal with a cyst on the ovary and my doctor wants me to stay because of possible pain management issues (I can not take some of the more common drugs). My mum had hers removed at around my age too, but back then, they did not do laparoscopic ones; she looked terrible for another two weeks while in the hospital poor girl. I bleed too much too, so it has to be done, as you did; I did end up on transfusions a few times, but it is more common now to end up that way, so I do not have much of a choice. It messes with my concentration and memory as you know and I am struggling more and more with work.

My original comment was merely a response to a statement which seemed to suggest that this TIM had adopted the child as a single man. I thought the original screenshot did not support this conclusion, and mentioned that. As for the other stuff, if you go back and reread what I said, I stated ânot allâ. That does not amount to âpretending there are no patternsâ.I also thought I made it clear that I donât think lack of planning makes anything more excusable. I did specify that lack of planning is used as a defense, and that I think itâs important to counter that defense, and that can be done by acknowledging that a proportion of offenders are not mastermind planners. Lastly, I fail to see how âevil, but dumbâ is in any way giving leeway or excusing anything, any more than saying âevil, and cleverâ would be.

As in someone sitting down, hatching a plan, and then following it through systematically. Thatâs what I took you to mean. Clearly you didnât. Second, I didnât put âevilâ in scare quotes. I put in quotes two entire phrases, one of which was âevil, not particularly clever and not that organisedâ. The reason I put that entire phrase in quotes, was purely to mark it out as a sort of imaginary quote. When using long, embedded descriptive phrases like that, itâs very easy for a reader to lose track of where exactly the embedded descriptive phrase starts and ends. Hence, I find it useful to mark it apart as if it was a quote (as it kind of performs the rhetorical function of a quote anyway). And in this case my entire sentence had two such embedded phrases, which made it even more important to set them apart visually. Scare quotes are rarely used for such long phrases anyway, theyâre much more common with individual terms, as your screenshot also suggests. Lastly, about the singleness, I genuinely thought YOU were making a point about him having been allowed to adopt while single. If you werenât, we started off on a misunderstanding from the get go.I would like to make it absolutely clear here, that I do NOT think lack of deliberate planning, or even being in self-denial about oneâs end goal (perpetratos are known to do this too, not all, but a proportion), in ANY way lessens the severity of the acts, or the dangerousness of the perpetrator. But I have observed, that a lot of other people seem to think it does, as they will say things like âhe didnât mean to do itâ or âheâs a good person deep downâ.
