anti-racists are mad at the wrong people. they're mad at white people as a whole but fail to look at what's always been hidden in plain fucking sight.who came here and "discovered america," killed and drove out all the natives? christians. who took native children from their families and threw them in schools to teach them english and teach about god? christians. who runs the fucking KKK? christians. who says that the cultures/religions of poc are false? christians. every arrow involved in this points back to christians and their undying thirst to punish and convert anyone who isnt like them.white people did this to other white people wayyyyy before christianity was even thought of, when they went and converted & killed all the pagans and almost completely wiped Norse mythology & paganism history off the map. pagans are still trying to gather what very little history they have available to them, and why? why is this? what religion were those other white people? christian. all of them were christians. and they all use their religion to justify their actions.

@zh0re Interesting point. Democracy seemed to be even worse.

@zh0re To be fair, I'd say plenty of the people you're talking about also have nothing nice to say about Christianity... while at the same time trying to rebrand similar religions as cute, cuddly, and misunderstood. I'd also say many BLM types (white ones in particular) go out of their way to ignore the role of the church in black America and ignore black conservatism because those things are inconvenient. They think everyone agrees with them except Candace Owens. This resulted in many awkward moments for me in grad school because my classmates didn't want to feel racist but were also puzzled why my top priorities did not mirror what MSNBC said they should be. White Evangelical Christian American Nationalism is pretty much the one thing fueling any American private militia and it's not a secret. In fact, I'd say it is spoken about more often than not. There has also been all sorts of back and forth in schools about which components of Christianity can or can't be included in the classroom. Conservative transgender critical types routinely point to all the genderist stuff happening in schools and bring up a Christian equivalent to illustrate how odd it is anyone has a problem with one but not the other. But then there's also many progressive activists who are all for the rainbow-ification of the church which is pretty ironic given the source material. So now you've got churches that double down on the fire and brimstone and churches that are essentially social clubs for progressives who - for whatever reason - hang onto the churchgoing tradition.I'll also point out that the whole dynamic of most black Americans having a Christian upbringing while it is Christianity that played a starring role in justifying the enslavement of their ancestors has been part of the discourse for a veeeeeeeeeeeery long time. Then in the backdrop of all this is that America functions as essentially a Christian-decorated anglo-ruled empire and continues to do so regardless of how much we bicker amongst ourselves. In God we trust. 🤷‍♀️

@GalacticTurtle the part where you brought up how most black Americans have christian upbringings despite the role its played in slavery is a great point. i say the same thing about gay christians, which is a similar discourse.
