       @fsf Most definitely this is observably true. Specific software products have gotten The Red Carpet treatment and treated as Defacto Mainline through "Incentives".

       @fsf and my university they all of a sudden decided that only Microsoft Outlook was allowed for viewing our email. And of couse keeping up with the email was required. So someone unilaterally decided to excluded anyone who did on want to compromise on ethics for no reason.

       @Joe_0237 That's a shame, but I've found that Evolution with the EWS plugin can be use to connect to "outlook" servers.Setting it up requires jumping through hoops; https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Evolution/EWS/OAuth2 and ignoring a "admin approval needed error" roadblock that you can walk around, but it's certainly worth it.
