       the one that's really frustrated me lately is on anything vidya-related. read the comments on any game older than five years and a good chunk of the comments will be "i love this game, this needs a remake". that's the equivalent of looking at a film and going "what a great story, they should really reboot this". it's not like i'm expecting normies to have good taste or anything, but when that's the majority of the dialogue on any given game to exist it's a tad aggravating.

       @bleedingphoenix @Owl To be fair in a lot of cases older games are hard to acquire and play legally in the modern day, which makes recommending them to friends tough. That said, the go-to desire should really be either a re-release or a sequel, depending on what they actually want when they mention a remake.

       @nierenstein @Owl it's rarely the case, though. look at Dead Space or RE4, where the originals have already been ported for years but everyone flipped out over remakes.
