@Eris The only computer rpg that I remember playing is Shadowrun. It's fine, it was fun. I would recommend the Ys series, specially Ys origin, but that's more of an action rpg so i dunno :comfyshrug:

@Eris @MisterRogersSnapped @flux arx fatalis (rough around the edges but still pretty good), cosmic star heroine (chrono trigger-like), hylics (1 & 2), star wars kotor 1 & 2 (if you like star wars), sid meyer's pirates ('cause pirates), faxanadu next (followup to the NES game), and dungeon siege (the best diablo clone)That's all i can think of now without going into emulation

phantasy star iv if you like the old classics. replayed it recently and was very pleasantly surprised how well it held up and how refreshing it was to have a more stripped down jrpg experience (no 20 minute long cutscenes, endless sidequests, ect)cosmic star heroine if you want a more modern style retro jrpg. short and sweet but still a lot of fun.i replayed deus ex: human revolution a few weeks back and reminded myself why it's one of my favorite games ever. might be more shooty than you're looking for but i highly recommend it if you've never played it.valkyria chronicles is probably the most unique jrpg i've ever played. has a weird battle system that's sort of turn based and sort of not. very good overall and i enjoyed it but i've heard others say mixed things about it, your mileage may vary.fallout: new vegas if you've never played it. really shows it's age at this point but i still replay it once a year or so.witcher 3 still holds up and is oddly welcoming to new players (i was skeptical because i hadn't played the previous two games but i had no trouble getting into the story). beware: it's a looooooong fucking game if you choose to do a bunch of the sidequests and/or dlc.to the moon was a nice surprise. it's really story heavy and can come across as a bit pretentious but i still found myself moved by it.mount and blade: warband and it's sequel bannerlord are great if you're into huge medieval battles and kingdom building.
