You're all the sort of people who would have an idea about this, so: does anyone know where it's possible to find a copy of the ibcs2 patchset for Linux from the mid-90s? tsx-11.mit.edu appears long dead and I can't find a live mirror that has it.(And no, I do not mean the ibcs2 support code in any of the BSDs, I am specifically talking about the patch to Linux that let you run SVR4 binaries)

Oh! It seems to live on (for very loose definitions of "live on") here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/linux-abi/

...and https://sourceforge.net/projects/ibcs-us/ is a version that's implemented in userland instead of in-kernel, which is probably an extremely good thing

@mjg59https://www.ibiblio.org/pub/historic-linux/ftp-archives/tsx-11.mit.edu/Oct-07-1996/BETA/ibcs2/P.S. I did a historical dive into ibcs as part of http://www.catb.org/~esr/halloween/halloween9.html#:~:text=ibcs in 2003.

@mjg59 As far as I know, Drew Sullivan who wrote ibcs2 is still around, although he retired and dropped out of sight a few years back.

@mjg59 if you're still after the old sources, I find Slackware to be pretty reliable for this sort of thing.https://mirrors.slackware.com/slackware/slackware-2.0.0/source/extra-stuff/iBCS2-emulator/
