       @Nazz It's a survival adaptation. The up and down movement mimics being carried somewhere. They calm down so their parents can move them where they need to.

       @Pike ah but you see The Science™ says that babies actually dont like being carried/bounced so actually thats dumb and wrong and actually your dog hates when you hug him too i heard it on reddit r/science
