@tante I used to like it a bit just for schadenfreude. But now i'm tired and angry.None of them did it with genuinly good intentions, they wanted money and fame and knew (or should have known) about the problems.Screw them and their attempts to be hailed as a born-again tech-critic. I'll save my sympathy for people who noped out as soon as their boss told them to make the Torment Nexus.(And that goes beyond the tech industry: there are too many jobs where it is fashionable for people to spend the latter half of their career decrying the first half)

@tante I don't know, man. Making amends is a thing, and when you and when you lose the income, sharing what you know in exchange for it doesn't seem so silly to me.It bothers me a little more when it serves an additional agenda, like promoting a new product or service that competes with Torment Nexus but not exempt from the critiques legitimately made on Torment Nexus.

@tante Can't say I agree with him being included in this characterization. He's a 75 year old career academic researcher who had worked with Google for 10 years, now retiring and not selling any new book... in fact much of his research was published openly and deliberately not patented. Not his fault that governments declined to regulate products derived from the concepts he explained to us for forty some years.
