       I don’t know if Mastodon will support rich text posting. Nevertheless, rich text rendering means that much more of the Fediverse’s functionality will be viewable to people who use Mastodon.

       @robUx4 not only. Web client uses the same API as others. And API already returns post text in HTML (strictly sanitized). From now on, sanitizing will be more relaxed, to allow rich text. Some clients already support this subset of HTML (like Husky), some not@atomicpoet
