       @boilingsteam I voted not sure just because I thought we were due all four years of trump and the two years since there’s been rumblings. However, if we hit the debt ceiling I’m pretty sure that’ll lead to credit downgrades and all sorts of problems.

       It was several months ago CBO said we’d default as soon as June. It shouldn’t be a shock when the government themselves tell you ahead of time. They didn’t try to hide it as much as other news items.At best since that time they could have possible delayed that to July now. House has passed a bill, and only today did the Whitehouse say they would consider negotiation as the Senate sits on their hands. Democrats would actually like to default as that helps with getting CBDC enacted. They can just say “no talks and no votes” and that will happen.Either way US is getting a credit rating ding likely even worse than the downgrade France got just last week. Looking to clear 200 banks in less than a year and CRE is a horror show.

       @boilingsteam it do be appearing that way. But Job will probably cave at the last minute. We used to say the democrats could snatch defeat from the jaws of victory (see Al gore, see Hillary Clinton, see Howard Dean), this isn’t even that. It’s lose lose negotiations wise.
