       @Rasp @artemis Not yet, but it would be possible. It would however be an absolute anti-model to the current data-laundering hype, that's why nobody with sufficient means even thinks about it. Everyone gets told "data is the new oil" without noticing the bitter irony in that sentence.

       @Rasp @artemis @Natanox there are pilot projects doing content based adverts. one is with a (few?) newspaper(s) in the Netherlands as far as i remember. the newspapers tag their articles and advertisers can bid on how much they are willing to pay for their adverts to appear next to articles that have certain tags. i think i read the prices for advertisers and income for the newspapers was about the same as with targeted adverts.
