       @catraxx@mastodon.online Massive instances like mastodon.social are bad for the fediverse because they concentrate power to few people. So if, for example, mastodon.social decided to block me, half of the fediverse will stop seeing my posts and vice versa. A certain big art-related instance did this to me, without any prior communication whatsoever.Big instances defeat the whole purpose of a federated network.

       @volpeon I have not heard many good things about that certain art instance. They're a bit odd, aren't they?I understand the concern, although this will be very hard to communicate to people who care less about fediverse politics.
