       like the fact is, most trans women are not white, most trans women who speak english are not white, yet transfem communities online are often so fucking white, and while there are multiple reasons for this, having some racist trans girl around, no matter how much you disagree with her, is pretty much the equivalent of hanging up a "We want white tenants in our white community" sign on your front doori realize this is a Very Obvious Statement and yet it keeps fucking happening!!!

       @miiamustang see the thing is, to my knowledge almost no one actually overtly thinks that it's okay for trans women to be racist. but people often respond to racist behaviour from other trans women by ignoring it or rationalizing it as not being a big deal, as opposed to what they should be doing, which is being however critical it takes to either make the behaviour stop or make the person leave

       @miiamustang yeah, stuff like that is a good example. what would indicate a respectable culture among white trans women is if every single one who saw that shit got upset about it and did not let it slide. the current situation is often one where maybe one person actually criticizes this stuff or maybe no one does at all. like it's actually nauseating
