I know everyone hates sportsball but the refferreing of these games just feels so obviously rigged now especially with all the gambling now. All sports shit is now centered on gambling the same way vidya is centered around microtransactions. It all they talk about now.

@KonataWagner There's a very obvious trend of making sure games arent blow outs so spreads dont get covered. Idk how to describe it but its very obvious now that refs have a finger on the scale to dictate the game. Sometime they just dont call obvious fouls and other times they call them for seemingly no reason. Their impact is so much more than its been.

Because that very much seemed to be an American sports thing, in Europe NOBODY talks shit about a soccer playing scoring 3, 4 or even 5 goals in a blowout match, quite the opposite, they'll call him the GOAT.

Ill try to describe whats happening now>vegas sets odds on how they predict a game too go>they expect a team to win by 5+ points at home>if they do that vegas basically wins because the pay out will be lower as it was an expected outcome>if they win by less than five or lose then vegas loses as betting against them has better pay out with a lesser chance. >when ever a game starts to swing one way or another possibly fucking up that plus/minus suddenly refs step in to either close the gap or extend a lead depending on the score.

@Boomerman It's hard to believe how different it is to even just a few years ago. Every ad is some mixed race couple selling some sports betting service, and betting odds are now making up significantly more of the stats that roll across the screen.The fact that sport leagues have all expanded/moved into Vegas in recent years corroborates this.

There are also still fights, but it usually only happens now when it isn't close because those are how the refs do biased rulings that tilt the games. It doesn't matter if you are down by 4 in the 3rd period, though, and are trying to shift mommentum.
