@Hyolobrika did you mean evidence of slavery in New England? Or about the puritans and cavaliers being all or mostly English? If you’ve read about American history, you should know all the ones that came over on the mayflower and landed at Plymouth Rock came from England and had English surnames, they were actually headed to Jamestown but was blown off coarse, Jamestown was an English colony. Also when the black slaves were freed they took the surname of their slave owners, and almost every black person in America who’s ancestors were slaves have an English surname, very rarely you might come across one with a Scottish surname.

@Hyolobrika I have an Irish surname, and have done a family tree, I found out that they came over in 1635 and landed in Connecticut, about 100 on the ship, all free and not as indentured servants. Over the years they migrated south along the east coast, census records show they never owned any slaves. There is one time in the 1800’s where one of them married a woman that inherited two from her father when he died, his wife’s maiden name was an English surname, she inherited the two slaves when her father died, but they were freed immediately when that happened, and I have the documentation about it.
