@DebR I’m absolutely sick. Every damn day our children are getting shot. This guy had a gun in his hands and just let go. Why not? It’s the American way. It’s just an 8 year old and a few adults. 🤬🤬🤬🤬 The Wild West was better regulated. @Lowie @DebR Yes! Insurance alone would do a ton of good. Here's my top 4 most important reforms: 1. Mandatory liability insurance2. Red Flag laws3. Universal background checks4. Ban high-capacity magazines and semi-automatic assault weapons

@Lowie @DebR Agreed. Gun culture runs really deep here. I find it's embedded even deeper than the seemingly intractable car culture, which is to say it's gonna be really difficult. That's why I like the insurance requirement. It's just bringing "personal responsibility" to the one consumer product our laws don't currently touch.
