Blech, this shower fix is getting harder and harder; it started as a 'redo the silicon sealent' (yuch, but I know how), to and some grouting (OK), hmm a loose tile (ok), a loose row of tiles, maybe some fillter (hmm), the whole row (hmmmm), plaster has crumbled away and there are big gaps (oh!)#diy

@neil Oh thanks! Have you any idea what makes that 'plaster repair' special? I already have a filler and I have a deep crack filler; but then I see that polycell stuff, and I see 'patching plaster' and....

@penguin42 Such is the way of all DIY repairs, in my long experience.Look to fix the surface problem.Find something behind/adjacent that needs dealing with FIRST.Then find something related to THAT which has to be dealt with beforehand.And so on.The downward spiral of "This won't take long..."
