It’s good to see at least a few Republicans are starting to see this issue of taking reproductive rights is a loser in every sense, but that doesn't mean this issue is solved or dead, and it certainly isn't dead nationwide. Republicans will try again and again until:- they pass these woman-killing, domineering bills, or- they get so soundly defeated, they’ll learn to stop trying. @TonyStark Republicans believe women are chattel, that they have no rights or opinions beyond what their male relatives tell them.Republicans believe in the death penalty and gun rights because they want to kill anyone who doesn't agree with their world view.Republicans don't want to protect the earth because the only conservation they believe is money and white male supremacy.Smart people will vote against them and leave.

@TonyStark I was chatting with my mom back in Nebraska about this. We both have the impression that now that many people who are ostensibly "pro-life" (forced birthers) are seeing the reality of what these laws mean, they are finding it too extreme. The number is surprisingly high of anti-abortion people I've met who don't realize that these laws would make it illegal for necessary medical procedures to be performed after a miscarriage or don't have rape exceptions

@JoscelynTransient @TonyStark I think part of the problem with forced-birth advocates is that they've been sold a "Gerber baby" load of goods, that this bunch of godless women are fecklessly using abortion to shirk their maternal duties. With horrible true stories coming out about the consequences, some of the brighter ones are realizing that abortion is simply part of reproductive health treatment. @TonyStark The simple fact is that at the end of the day, it's a woman's right to choose whether she wants an abortion or not. End of story.If anyone else has religious or other objections to abortion, then by all means: you do you. What you don't have here is the right to force those prohibitions onto or cut off abortion access for other people.

@TonyStark My biggest fear is that R's will start toning it down to 'fool' people into believing most of them are more moderate, then boom- if they get re-elected & continue to be the majority esp in if they took both houses, we are in deep sh*t... headed there as it is w/all the Gov's making barbaric laws against women, LGBTQ & their out right racism.
