@stannard What am I supposed to say to that? To me, alcohol is nothing to joke about. Some people around me have developped a serious alcohol problem lately and this is part of me looking for alternatives.I still do drink every now and then, but have become very concious and if there are good alternatives I'd chose them over the real thing anytime.

@Bella It was a knee jerk and flippant response.I apologise if it was offensive ,I suppose my thought train was non alcoholic versions of alcoholic drinks.If I want a non alcoholic drink, I would chose a soft drink, ginger beer or a juice and not a copycat version of a whisky etc.No offence was intended.

@stannard Thanks for clarifying.This topic has become a sensitive one to me as yes, drinking can be fun, but if it turns into something that's necessary it also becomes dead scary.I want to try cocktails with the non-alcoholic versions and see if they taste any different, because - honestly - most cocktails mainly taste of juices and/or sugar and only a hint of alcohol. And if I could get this hint without the real thing, that would be awesome.
