Today I came across the #Mastodon Bird UI #CSS Githuhb. Honestly, this looks clean AF, shoutout @rolle https://github.com/ronilaukkarinen/mastodon-bird-ui(Yeah it has a twitter vibe to it, but idc, I like this much better than the default UI, especially the PWA)

@writeblankspace @rolle That was my biggest comparison, elk. But I wanted something cleaner and also native, with CSS so it didn't require 3rd party apps or plugins. This is perfect for my taste. I reckon you can edit the color scheme to match the black and gold a bit more perhaps. I am kind of tempted to try it. But even with default colors I still quite like it

@JustDalek_ @writeblankspace Most notable differences: Hand crafted icons, star/heart animation (micro interactions), deep purple colors and as stated, it's not a separate app, it's just Mastodon with a clean and modern UI.Glad you like it. :ablobcatheart:

@JustDalek_ @rolle how would one pin searches in this UI?I do searches and pin them as separate tabs, as I dont want a giant home feed.

@nosherwan @rolle You mean like the advanced view? Its same as before this does not affect the advanced view, it only changes the regular UI

@JustDalek_ @rolle Hmm, tried to put it on my user-side using stylebot; looks neat but a bit buggy (my compose box isn't like the screenshot, and the animations don't seem to work for some reason). It looks relly good though; the bugs are probbly just limitations of the user-side.
