@zachnfine Yes, thank you, @nw. That second take down of nitrokey makes it painfully obvious that the original claim is so misleading it seems deliberate. I already run #GrapheneOS on my Pixel (in fact, I bought a Pixel specifically to do that). Yes, it handles the location data in a sane way that should reassure even the most privacy conscious: https://grapheneos.social/@GrapheneOS/109960680764836371But overhyping this issues is not helpful. I wonder what NitroKey's connection is to GrapheneOS. @GrapheneOS

@hackerb9 probably none, all NitroKey does is buying Pixels, flashing GrapheneOS onto them and selling them on their store.

@gianmarcogg03 Given how easy GrapheneOS is to install -- clicking a few buttons on a webpage -- it doesn't seem like that would be a profitable business. I'd only buy it pre-installed if it actually benefited the Graphene developers. And even then, it seems like a bad idea for anyone concerned about security to buy a phone from a middleman.

@hackerb9 also recently Daniel Micay pointed out to NitroKey publicly many of the mistakes they made in that article, so they clearly aren't partners.
