       I don't understand the people who told me I would get more conservative with age. The more powerful I become, the more angry I get at the people who abuse their power and the more aware I become of the ways in which systemic oppression functions.

       20-year old me totally believed that tech was a meritocracy where people pulled themselves up by their bootstraps and that the 30-something guys I dated were attracted to me because I was so mature.

       @evacide I think people become more VISIBLE/OUTSPOKEN about their conservatism in old age. People who told you that were either projecting, or not understanding that your mindset wasn't set at age 25 (like perhaps theirs was?!?).God help me if I thought exactly like I did at 25.

       @CosmicTraveler @evacide I heard that as well growing up in the '70s and '80s that the older I got and the more money I made the more conservative I would become. Yeah jokes on them. While I am not an anarchist I Don't have a conservative bone in my body.

       @evacideWell, what means "conservative"? That's the problem behind it. If we take a look, we easily see, that "conservative" depends on a lot. Conservative means in Britain something different from the US. Same with France and Germany.Also, in all this countries, 'conservative' is used for some specific ideas, that aren't conservative, if we take the idea of some conservative attitudes serious.Fascists are never conservatives.@reb_elle
