       @paul They made onboarding smooth, and one individual Black woman in tech  (https://twitter.com/Aliafonzy43) onboarded and had a good experience, then spent several days getting her whole network onto BlueSky. She onboarded BlackTechTwitter.Aveta also invited James Gunn, who then invited a few other Hollywood celebs like Kumail Nanjiani.And their CEO (Jay Graber) has done a good job explaining to skeptics (me, Kelsey Hightower, Anil Dash) that Jack Dorsey is not the CEO, and Bluesky isn't crypto.

       @paul #BlueskySocial devs have already said they will implement ads at some point. Cause they’re VC-backed and have to make money for investors. But dependence on advertisers is a dead end for any product. It’s the easiest economic model but the most dangerous. Once you depend on ads revenue, it’s not your product – it’s the advertiser’s product. And you are just a manager. Despite all problems with Fediverse, it’s the best social we have.
