       Just so you know, there’s other fediverse software if you’re curious about other ones. Akkoma, Misskey, Soapbox and Calckey come to mind.

       FWIW, some of those have frontend versions that should work with Mastodon instances. So if you do get bored of Mastodon you don’t have to pull everything out or convert your fedi software.

       @Flaky@awoo.fyi misskey won't work with mastodon.i've also heard mastodon is a mess to set up and maintain in comparison with the other alternatives, so maybe it's not a good idea for a single user instance.@shadowferret help

       @mata_aimasho @Flaky@awoo.fyi I have no experience with mastodon, but misskey is fairly easy to maintain. Outside of having to update to new versions you really don't have to touch it.
