@FinalOverdrive @StillIRise1963 I hear ya. We should long for MySpace.Twitter was pretty cool for a while, too. And, it gave us a lot of control ... over our customizable preferences for our next white male dictator. We can choose: fake orange comb-over or classic Hitler brunette.Can't describe my disappointment in politics here in the US after the past few years. I feel like I've been living in a Doonesbury lampoon of politics, except this has all been very scary, disgusting, and real.

@StillIRise1963 @FinalOverdrive I'll never understand why so many people suppported Trump. While I know some people are gullible or angry, I really would not have expected more than 2% to go along with his wild bullshit. The racism, fear, anxiety of their financial future, petty spite: I would not have guessed it. I asked an old friend why he supported Trump, and I was floored when he told me that Trump was the only one who stood up for morality.Morality. "Just grab 'em by the pussy." And all the rest that happened. In my view, there was not a day of Trump's adult life that hasn't involved lying, cheating, or stealing. And those are the good days.My family survived Adolf Hitler. I'm telling you, what you already know: this is fascism. It's deadly. It's lethal. It'll ruin us all. The only path to honor in a crisis like this lies in defying it. Pick any way you can. They'll be back. This is very much like the precursor times of the Weimar Republic, I think. Buckle up. Get ready.Twice impeached. Not removed. There's all we need to know right there.

@pthenq1 @gladiola @StillIRise1963 @FinalOverdrive I don’t know… I still see businesses all over flying Trump flags (the same businesses that only fly the American flag when a Republican is president). I don’t see any reckoning or second thoughts from these people; they’re still all-in on Trump. The coup attempt didn’t move the needle one bit with them. A third of the country is fine with a coup attempt.
