       @rolle well, but they can be. Nothing is preventing data harvesters to harvest your posts, meanwhile people that legitimately want to find your stuff for conversatios have to jump through hoops or give up.

       @laimis I'm referring to the Mastodon search feature. Of course they can be fetched other ways or via Google, but not without a bit of effort. A regular user can't use the Mastodon search to find them with open text.
