       @halfcocked @clive @pluralistic Dealing with something similarly ridiculous at the moment where a publisher wanted to charge an absurd amount for including the title and a link to an article in a course (as an example of something discussed in the course, so we were sending people to the site). We just went with another link. 🤷‍♀️

       @clive @fifilamoura There’s no “fair use” in Canada. There’s a “fair dealing” exception from what would otherwise be infringement, but that’s already (imo) down the wrong path. I’d have to look it up but I thought we had settled that a link to a work is not a “use” of the work. This is bonkers.  @pluralistic
