Did anyone else go to use their kiwi patches and find that they weren't sticking? I held the iron there for a while and the bitch still wouldn't stick to my jacket. I guess I'll sew it on but ughhhhh

@malice I don't think they had the sticky to them ! It was meant to be sew'd on bc there was alot of discussion to get them attached ! I have them in my car in the arm rest so I can hand the to the police to keep getting away from it!

@Vinsama The other side was smooth and seemed like it had glue but maybe that's not what that was meant for. I honestly don't buy too many patches, I just started putting together a "punk" patch jacket. looks like its time to whip out my sewing stuff. this is the one "woman" skill I'm terrible at lol

@malice I wont lie to You I don't think I ever even considered patches in my whole Life but these came out looking pretty hard and its been a project of mine to stick em on my rotating jean jackets. What's your punk patch jacket looking like ? I been wanting to get some other patches like a skyking one bc man they also look pretty sick Sewing is also really nice especially when you use the bullshit colored string in interior spots of your clothing and you walk around knowing you mended the broken pocket in your jeans with pink string bc you figured you'd rather save the blacks and blues for visible spots. Best bet for sewing is learn the beginner stuff and just with that its like 90% of what your gonna need!

@Vinsama I have a pink furry tiger patch I got a Furry convention (not a furry, I just wanted to experience it lmao) and I sewed on a junji ito shirt with the kid with the nails for teeth on it. The jacket is washed black denim and I sewed the junji ito art on with whtie thread. I'm gonna take a sander to it at some point for a nice worn look. I'd take a picture but I switched to a flip phone and I'm still setting money aside for a camera. I wanted the "archive everything" patch on one of the pockets. Its cute, it matches and only other kiwis will know what it is.

@malice @Vinsama I have a Carhartt jacket with a patch for every place I worked in the past 8 years, and also one or two obscure enough internet meme patches. I consider this jacket my home

@TomAltihill @Vinsama Carhart is a nice choice, that thing will last forever. Also patches with stories behind them are the best. My furry convention patch has a story but only for certain crowds lol

@Vinsama Oh dude... The furry convention was as insane as you'd think. I went to one in San Jose and didn't consider its proximity to San Francisco and how that would affect the demographic. There were a fuckload of "pups" with the furries, and when it was time for the night market that shit was like the Folsom Street BDSM fair. I was in line squished between a fully leather daddy dog man and a latex skunk. I was basically Tom Cruise in Eyes Wide Shut for a whole weekend. The room parties were great though ngl. The communist room was hilarious because there were all sorts of pictures of Stalin and Mao juxtaposed with furry degenerates and very gay men standing around shirtless. The Brony room was literally all trannies and I never realized they try SO HARD to giggle like women. It was so off-putting. I was rolling on a tab of acid the whole time so it was WILD.

@Vinsama I went with 2 furry buddies and one of them was a volunteer at the event so I got to go EVERYWHERE and see everything. Nobody really smelt bad because the fursuit contains the stank, I think. Even the brony room didn't stink and it was all chris-chan tier trannies. Before then, I had only gone on hikes rolling on acid. I like to "return to monkey" from time to time.

@malice woah thats pretty interesting I always imagined they all reeked of slight BO and sweat. I so far have only done acid at Festivals and in my place. Solely due to my first interaction with it. Ive wanted to do it on hikes and nature trips like when I go camping but so far havnt just due to safety factors. Im a bit of a sperg so always feel like I need to be alert. but that honestly sounds like a 10/10 especially considering you had guards essentially xD

@Vinsama You've just gotta say fuck it and do it but don't go alone. I'm also on guard after watching a lot of Missing 411 podcasts and documentaries but I'm good about not wandering off to far away from the group. Once you relax, its amazing how beautiful even the most simplistic things are. Being outside in that state gives you a new appreciation for nature. I definitely recommend trying it once.

@malice I think thats the neat part of me I find fascination with just about most things I spent a week going on about how beautiful a 4 cylinder engine was and for about a week I was like woah planes truly are awe inspiring I got goosebumps when it first touched off bc of how impressive the engineering and thought behind it was. All the way knowing natures unmatched in sheer size , scope, and capacity for Beauty and design. Shit im convinced humans unknowingly copy designs from nature for EVERYTHING. Will say its food for thought Ill definitely take your advice if the opportunity arises

@Vinsama I noticed this when I was deep into my computer science degree. We created a machine that mimics human thought processes. Now we have AI that can generate content in a way that's similar to an artist gathering inspiration they can use to create something new. It's both horrifying and fascinating to watch play out and, with how quickly AI has progressed, it makes me wonder if we're closer to technological singularity than we think... I'll be high in the woods somewhere while everyone else is being buttfucked by their leftoid robot overlords as they enjoy owning nothing and eating bugs in their mega-suburbs. Fuck that lmao.

@malice I think i noticed really heavily with the ATP pump and Hydroelectric dam ever since then i was like :o nd now with the whole AI and Machine Learning. its quickly becoming so fucking advanced its beyond scary while also being a beast to see in action watching it in real time update/ renovate any single thought / document placed into it really goes to show the wealth of knowledge accessible to it.(my boss doesn't even write emails anymore he dead as puts it in there proofreads it and hits send everytime ) people are also using the art ai generator to enter contests to win recently Sony had a contest that an AI image won the photo contest. sounds like you got the right plan lol tis strange tho considering you got a computer science degree doesnt that mean you are at the whims of global homo as of right now (pls note im working on getting into the cs world if you have any tips im starting from zero)

@Vinsama There are a fuckload of online resources, in fact, I've learned more on my own browsing lainchan and web dev general threads on /g/ than in a classroom. Here are my recommendations: https://wiki.installgentoo.com/index.php/Main_Page (I think this may be outdated now but I browsed this wiki a lot back in college)https://www.theodinproject.com/dashboard (I'm currently doing these courses now as a bit of a refresher) These are just my recommendations as a web developer though. I'm not a software engineer or a data scientist. Just a freelance web developer, nothing special. My general recommendation is to look for online coding courses that don't hold your hand too much. You won't get a real feeling for how to start programming if the site is doing most of the work for you (W3Schools, Repl.it are what I mean by handholding).I started learning code on accident through Neopets when I was 10 years old so this life chose me lol. I thought I was gonna go to art school but I realized I had a knack for coding and I could have a pretty cushy life doing freelance web development instead of being confined to a cubicle in some office, dealing with the hen-pecking, and drama that comes from existing in a female body. I have to keep up appearances and pretend to be down with Globohomo but the independence is totally worth it. I'm saving up for a piece of land and some money to build a small home so I can retire and live the comfy cottage core life, completely free of technology someday.

@malice Holy shit talk about being the bomb. com I appreciate you and thanks for taking the time out of your day to write this all out to me I currently wagecuck in an office but most people irl around me is pretty globolhomo and most people know not to get me started lolYour plans are also the same as me will note not sure what your stance on guns are but get involved they are a fun hobby and a great security system if you have no one to show you you can get a a tiny 22 rifle to play around with or a small caliber handgun to get comfortable with it (that's how I did and I currently own a couple 2 handguns and 3 long guns ) if theres anything you ever want/ need Reach out and Ill see if I can be useful

@Lumeinshin @Vinsama I need to learn more about Linux, that's an area I'm weak in for sure. This is slightly embarrassing but I actually bricked a laptop by installing Mint and then trying to uninstall it when I wanted to go back to Windows. I should of just used a virtual box but I wanted to "immerse myself" more. Thats the best way to learn imo.

I was wage cucking it as a glorified receptionist for a while and that whole experience made me want to freelance. I was hired for marketing and web development but the dude had me doing dispatch and making sales calls the whole time (neither are things I've ever done or even skills on my resume). r/antiwork became very popular when I was working there and it kind of inspired me to get the fuck out. If I'm going to work a 60-hour work week its going to be for my own business and I'm going to be doing things that matter. Also, its funny... This dude I worked for was a total Trump fanboy who inherited his daddy's company (I voted for Trump twice and I was definitely on the Trump train hype back in 2016 so no hate). He wore a huge silver cross and asked if it was okay if he talked about god in the office during the interview. I didn't care at the time but hoooo boy that should of been a huge red flag... Sometimes the other side of the spectrum fucking sucks too. He had absolutely no respect for his employees' personal lives and would always use the classic boomer slogan "I GUESS NOBODY WANTS TO WORK ANYMORE" when someone would object to being dispatched to a location 2 hours out from our offices at fucking 9 pm after already gong home to their families. I actually almost got fired for giving a dude a break one night. I don't know where I am on the political spectrum anymore, but I am definitely very pro-2A and that'll never change. I have a Henry .22 and a lower receiver I haven't had the time or money to build out. California's gun laws are so convoluted I might just sell it and get a shotgun. I'm not a fan of handguns because I'm not a fan of the kickback. I feel like it affects my aim.

@malice that sounds like your in the right place not even gonna lie and i will note i dont know where I am on the political spectrum besides everything's funny af, I gotta get the fuck out of here and I abide by what I find right and wrong (I also voted for Trump LOL ) I work in a decent job I think but i kinda fucked myself for a minute so Im working on fixing financial situation and investing in something that I feel wont fuck me over in terms of time bc IM SO OVER THE WHOLE WORK 40 HOURS A WEEK Like routinely I work 50 and take home good money and then its like what for I dont get to work on my hobbys, dont spend time with my pets, dont have time for shit in regards to kickback not sure how your hand placement is or anything but im glad your in the area . Remember most handguns all have a feel some are too big and some are too small some have the right weight to them and some have the right power If you felt whatever you shot had too much kickback you can fuck around with a smaller caliber until it feels okay and then hop up and try it out When I first went shooting I shoot a fullsize 9mm and hated it frankly it sucked then I went out to shoot a 9mm compact bc everyone said it was perfect and fell in Love with 40S&W in a subcompact which was told it would be "too snappy" due to recoil

@Vinsama One thing I totally agree with r/antiwork on before it was coopted by anarcho-communists who have never worked a day in their life is that you need time for yourself. I think there is something wrong with the idea that we need to slave away at a job for a corporation that could care less about us for 40% of our lives (minimum). "Grind/hustle" culture is also bullshit it's just corporate boot-licking. I absolutely HATE the idea that your job is your life, your personality, your purpose, etc. Your job shouldn't define you as a person and it shouldn't leach away years of your life you can never get back. Tl;dr if your job makes you feel like shit, you should leave (if you don't have kids/dependants) because you can't get those days and hours back. You should spend more time being happy, that's way more important. ... Also, my favorite part about freelancing is that I can let my rabbit roam around while I work. She hated being alone for 8-12 hours a day but she's too territorial for a "husbun". Maybe the handgun I was using was too big for me. There was something incredibly uncomfortable about it. I think it was a glock? I shot a friend's revolver once and that was far more comfortable but still too much. I feel like I have more "control" over a long rifle.

@malice Ugh You are 100% right its absolutely tragic people feel that working 24/7 is a great thing and that time is well spent sometimes I understand having to provide if thats the case but 90% of the time they are on that bs hustle/grind culture with no end in sight just consoom At the end of the day growth comes from the time we spend enriching our lives with be it exercise, books, studying , and whatever else may fit in that category. thats Cute as of right now I got two little dogs (too keep each other company just worked out that way )and throughout Ive had as many as 8 pets (Birds and Dogs) and leaving them to go work suucsk I have a camera set up so I can watch them and leave them watching tv so they dont get lonely one of the reasons I want to do the computer stuff is bc having a hybrid situation would improve their lives so much more and considering they are like my family We do what we Can right in regards to the handgun when you go to the range if you got small hands and are looking for a revolver you cant go wrong with a classic 642 .38 special (smaller caliber and smaller gun recoil shouldnt be too bad)I believe the most popular Glock is the 17 which is a full size(probably the one you tried ) I would try a 19 which is midsize or a glock 26 which is sub compact they have this nifty thing that fill your palm for a more secure grip called a backstrap or beavertail I think. Ive personally shot a couple different handguns and im no experts but whatever feels the most comfortable / fun to shoot is what your looking for.always remember tho Stance, hand placement, and double up on hearing protectors bc going deaf sucks LMFAO

@Vinsama “We are told 'no', we're unimportant, we're peripheral. 'Get a degree, get a job, get a this, get a that.' And then you're a player, you don't want to even play in that game. You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that's being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.”― Terence McKennaI can't wait to be in a position to have a lot of pets. I've only had rabbits. They're like the perfect "medium" between a cat and a dog. They use a litter box and are as independent as cats but also love pets and ask for affection like dogs. I found out that I can write animal fostering off as a tax expense for my business so I want to foster bunnies when i have the space. If I went for what is comfortable then I'd definitely get that revolver I shot. It might be too big but it looks cool, it feels cool to load and even if it snaps my writ back, it did it in a smoother way then the glock... And yeah I have small hands lol. I was shooting my friend's gun and he had man hands. If i went with something small it would be too "girly". I like to go all out when I exercise my 2nd Amendment rights. In another universe were I'm a man, my everyday carry is a .454 casull

@malice Thats a phenomenal quote goes pretty fucking hard. I love the "consuming all the trash that's being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.” line just woah inregards to the pets They are 10/10 always I've never owned rabbits but im sure they must be fun to own. I've found I've always had the mind and energy to figure out diet plans and half train most guys the two dogs I have now can do a couple tricks. They would be better off if I had more time but with everyone going on there's never enough time made for them :c I know of one dood in real life who Loved German Shepards so much he created a company just raising and selling them that quickly overtook his main company in profits and now has a bigger home for more space for them and drives two teslas so im sure those tax write offs must be fire !! too girly is so funny in this context considering they are tools xD Comfort is king just bc the bigger chainsaw looks manlier it wont look manly when you cant handle it.SO IN REGARDS TO THE .454 DO I SHOT A .45 LC OUT OF A DERRINGER AND I SHIT YOU NOT AMAZING EXPERIENCE BUT FUCKIGN HOLY HELL I honestly couldnt fathom the kind of man needed to casually fire off those rounds xD
