@rolle Shopping on my mobility scooter an hour ago was interesting. I was manoeuvring around three small children whose mother had specifically instructed them to remain motionless while I went past.The youngest rug-rat with her back to me immediately stepped backward into my intended path.I'd made allowance for such behaviour and was able to stop in time.

@rolle And of course cars and curb cuts that tip the wheelchair sideways have no effect on mobility. The problem isn't the scooters it's that everyone is crowded onto a sidewalk. Fuck cars. The space they use needs to be taken back.#FuckCars

@rolle the problem isn't scooters (even if I don't like them myself), or bikes. Scooters are roughly the size of their user and a fraction or their weight.The problem is cars. Cars are mobile living room that weight dozens of time their user, are 95% of the time idle and kill thousands of people each year.Ban cars.Fighting against scooters serve the cause of cars.

@rolle Also people leaving the scooters on not well lit bike paths at night or in not well lit tunnels. in both cases they're leaving them on the bike path even if there is a pedestrian path right next to it where it's a lot less likely that anyone will crash into them.

@rolle the city bikes too! When they were in dallas they were tossed all over. Thousands of bikes blocking sidewalks and randomly tossed into roads.
