@lauren I was disappointed at that reveal, yes. But I liked the first eight episodes. And yes, I’m a sucker for the fan service - you know what you are getting with Picard. If you want the non-fan service Trek, Strange New Worlds is coming back soon…

@lauren To be fair, Stewart was getting old, and the animatronic version is actually less stiff than the original. I support the change.

@lauren The first 2 seasons were good. They explored a different story line than the traditional ST. Then they went to full-on retread of the ST:NG series. I gave up

@lauren I assumed they did that to explain away him surviving an incurable brain condition. Funny now that the incurable brain condition is an integral part of the season 3 plot line.
