@lauren Interesting comparison and begs the question. Are people stupid by choice or are they trained to be stupid? There are many sources to support both sides of that equation.AI will provide answers that sound plausible. They may be completely or partially fabricated, but they will sound valid.

@lauren The problem is the intersection of those two things in a venn diagram.Sooner or later some in a really, really, really critical job is going to get lazy and let some chatbot do their work for them.We will find out when the contents of an entire sewer system hits the fan and by then its too late.

@lauren FWIW, 40(!) years ago I gave a talk entitled “Artificial Intelligence Meets Natural Stupidity.” One of my favorite examples was contrasting, “Time flies like an arrow,” vs. “Fruit flies like a banana.” 🤪
