@energisch_ They were asking for 1.6B but there was no guarantee they would win -- D would have to prove actual malice. So this is an enormous win for D. Jake Tapper couldn't keep a straight face reading FOX's statement, by the way.

So the audience learns they were purposefully lied to?Or some statement they release to the lame stream media that their audience automatically disregards while they tell em Dominion was too scared to go to trialDominion couldve helped save the Republic that enabled their fortunes. @opethminded Dominion could have easily lost the case, and given FOX an enormous boost to continue as they had been and crowing they had won. It was by no means certain that Dominion could meet the "actual malice" standard required for a win. Extremely difficult, even with the kind of evidence present.

@lauren Gee thanks, Sidney Powell, for the valuable legal analysis that my own JD in law was clearly inadequate for me to contemplate. The judge cleared three of the four hurdles they need to establish actual malice, which really only means a showing they knew they were purposefully lying. OMG there absolutely no public facing evidence of that already. You’ve made your apologist opinion clear. Im not paid enough here to change hearts and minds. Good day, madam.
