       I think I'm making some progress in making the #Element IRC layout actually good with just CSS!I might look into making a pull request when I'm done!I still need to figure out how to display images and reactions nicely...

       I'm tempted to just remove that ugly green / yellow bar beside encrypted messaages...There's already an icon denoting the decryption / authentication state on the left anyways...

       @steffo, IMHO it’s better, but I’m no UI expert.  Would love a shorter line/relatively larger font size but I always open chat on a half of the screen anyway (and mostly using Nheko).

       Maybe I could increase information density even more, like it is in the original version, but I'm worried that multi-line messages may be much harder to read / distinguish from others...

       @cnx I just discovered there's an invisible bar you can drag between the usernames and the message to accomplish exactly that :DFont size is configurable in the settings, so I'm not gonna touch it 😨

       TIL, @steffo, that’s a nice bar.  Agreed on letting users configure the font size as well.
