i hate learning. i like building things, and if there's an interesting new technology that i can just like, start using and figure it out on the fly, i'm gonna do that.but stuff where i need to read an article that has more than one page, i'm probably gonna lose attention real quick. why does it have to be like this.

when i have to learn a framework or something similar, i'll read a few sentences here and there from its intro, like how it's initialized and what functions are called. then open the api reference and read up on those functions (references are always better than tutorials) and see what else is there. if that isn't enough, read some other people's code. if i know of a project that uses the technology, i'll find examples there. if not, i'll search github and find one that does.but now i'm trying to learn math, and to understand this concept i'm curious about, i have to learn everything it's built upon. it's hard...

that's why i never understood people who think that videos are more important for learning than text. if your project only explains how it works in a video, chances are i'm not using it.
