Article updated: turns out it's not in active development and was from last year.

@gamingonlinux sooo a dumb question… I know it is documented to dual boot (safely from a high capacity micro card)… based on these comments, is it worth it? Other than battery drain, I still want to do it. Do I play a ton of Game Pass on PC in general? No. Do I like options? Yes. Do I like Game Pass over Cloud? No. Finally, do I like portable options? Heck yes. #SteamDeck #xboxgamepass

@bennysp It's not something I'm personally interested in doing (I think my dual-booting days are behind me), but if you're curious about it then I think you should go ahead and try it.

@Thad thanks. Looking for those that have gone down this road and have had similar desires. Maybe even a thorough pros/cons?Maybe the answer IS check it out for self and determine, but I am seeing if there is anymore experienced feedback too.

@bennysp @Thad linus tech tips at some point made a video about it, tldr at that point was Windows support isn't that great and certain things like screen brightness and gamepad controls either don't work without steam or at all, and GPU driver performance at that point was noticably worse.
