@brewsterkahle There could perhaps be some potential for IA to contribute to AI.With regards of other NLP uses, as well.Perhaps in cooperation with Mozilla.ai or someone alike.

@brewsterkahle @great78 As stupid question, as usual from my side, probably Brewster, but do you know, or perhaps know whom to ask whether IA could be interested in hosting captions data, and/or sharing some computing power with a project mentioned below aimed at generating automatically the captions for the vision-impaired for both the already preserved pictures and perhaps for the range of billions of pictures more?https://noc.social/@hackster_io/110186807142977501

@PawelK @great78 The availability of the AI tools at no cost is a huge opportunity for the Internet Archive and others to better serve those with print disabilities.captions, read-aloud, summaries, navigation. Yes, we are excited.

@brewsterkahle This is the kind of thing AI should be used for, not making it easier to arrest black people

@brewsterkahle People will overlook that all they are getting is a *plausible* interpretation. And if all instances of the "#AI" are trained on the same data, we can't even get a valid 2nd opinion. #ChatGPT is like a populist politician explaning his platform, tho with fewer spelling mistakes. And with links to background info that can be churned out just as fast as you ask for it2023 could be the year the internet died; when #fakeNews finally = the normAnyone for wikiGPT ?#CrapGPT
