       COVID has been hell, but I have finally drawn the spades for https://www.heterodorx.com/gender-wars-cards/ (scroll way down to see). As usual the accuracy of my caricature attempts are hit or miss. I still have to do the jokers, card backs, and box, all of which is slowed by illness.

       @ninapaley These are really good. I do appreciate the names underneath the characters because I’m bad at recognising people, but the caricatures are still very good. They capture the essences of the characters really well and even where I wouldn’t have recognised either the caricature or the name alone, when I saw them together I went “oh yeah, THAT one”.  I normally am loathe to pay so much postage it nearly doubles the item’s price, but I may well make an exception on these. I kind-a collect card decks and this would be a great addition. It’s really good work. (P.S. If you ever need to fundraise, perhaps you could auction off originals? There may well be enough interested buyers to make that worth your while.)

       @ninapaley I actually enjoyed Wynn's old video essays, it's really sad to see how his topics became more and more narrow and centered around him and his autogynephilia. The carricature really is spot-on.

       @Gnomeshatecheese @ninapaley If you can figure out some way to do it while keeping your anonymity, we could go in together on an order? Might cost more for shipping one deck between our two countries than we’d save, though, the way postage is these days.

       @Flick That’s the thing, and if it’s from you to me, the local customs here might grab it and demand extra money.  The other direction would be easier for me, as postage from here to other countries is actually still pretty reasonable. It’s not like it would bankrupt me, I just dislike such things in principle.

       @Gnomeshatecheese Yeah, I know what you mean. I was thinking you to me, so that you can keep everything but a PayPal email private, but I’d not thought of customs. To send to me, you’d probably get away with marking it as a gift (I think the cut-off is £35, anyway), but from the US we’d probably get hammered in either country: here there’s a huge admin fee as well as the actual tax.
