The medical care of trans people is not the business of anyone but those people and their care providers. And unless someone is an expert on the science, they don’t really need to offer their opinion about what other people do when it has no impact on them. This same attitude would solve numerous problems.Missouri Advances GOP's War on Trans People by Restricting Care for Adults-https://www.thedailybeast.com/missouri-ag-andrew-bailey-restricts-gender-affirming-care-for-transgender-adults

@TonyStark I don't know for certain, but I suspect that part of it is people's own discomfort with their sexuality. Like if someone who has deeply held prejudices is attracted to a trans person and they all of a sudden think, "What does that mean about me?" Whereas I think it doesn't matter one way or the other.

@calculsoberic Could be. I’ve found it puzzling my entire life that anyone is worried about who people love or want to love or need to identify or how they look or dress to be happy. People living their best lives makes the world a happier, healthier, better place.

@TonyStark I think so too, but we live in a society that, in general, is very prejudiced against certain groups, including LGBTQAI+ people, so it seems to cause an identity crisis with some (not all). 😺

@calculsoberic I do love it here for that reason. That’s definitely not the case in numerous spaces.

@TonyStark Oh, absolutely. My in-laws don't know that I'm bisexual, but my wife does and my *parents* do, they're the main people that I care about 😸 (parents are often the hardest ones right??)

@calculsoberic @TonyStark I doubt that there are many people who have no insecurity about sex. However, not everyone who is anxious or insecure feels the need to punish, attack or subjugate others. Too many people show no capacity for honest self scrutiny.

@calculsoberic Definitely sometimes. Mine are no longer around but were supportive and accepting of everyone. I’m happy for you (and for anyone) surrounded by supportive people. 😺

@NycAuntie it's probably that combined with a lack of empathy or being raised around a lot of extreme prejudice (not a formal study, just an observation) @TonyStark
