Portrait of an American in 2023:I cannot buy a house, my rent is far too much, interest rates on my loans are above reasonable, the job I work pays less and the money I am paid in is worth less, groceries bankrupt me weekly, the news lies to me daily, society wants my son to wear a dress, my beer is now 41 percent drag queen, every politician promises solutions and none deliver, inflation won't go away, stagnation is approaching, the dollar is shaky, confidence in banking is eroding, my food poisons me, my water is contaminated, cops are defunded and criminals run rampant - those that are caught are let loose by DAs that don't care, my hobby for escapism has been corrupted so there is no escape and now my wizard is forced to wear a dress and date a black translesbian. I would wish for death but Amazon suicide boxes charge to much to use and guns will soon be illegal.

@Jim Ya know what's sad? What was average or even a tad below if little to no income in the past, was just having your own house and car with no debt. Now that is considered living high on the hog.

The most idiotic part of this is the escapism. If they were smart they'd leave video games and movies alone and leave Whites to wallow in fantasy. But they can't help themselves so they drive us back into reality where we can potentially fight back.

@Heil_Honkler @Jim With any luck I'll win out against my one evil uncle and get the house I'm living in now. Time is on my side anyway.Goes back weird, uncanny luck. Was quite literally homeless and couch surfing, at the end of my rope when my mom out of the blue hit me up asking me if I wanted the keys to my Grandmother's house because she'd taken a job she couldn't pass up, they had moved, and the house was unoccupied.Took me years to clean it up, don't know what all happened during the time it was left without occupancy, and it's still a work in progress but I've added value to the property now run a successful business out of it. This one uncle just wants it because he's a boomer at the end of his life and 'needs' the cash to fund his lifestyle a little longer.

@Jim Yes the world sucks, but listen up. There are places where there are good jobs, good opportunities for businesses and are safe and decent places to raise a family. I suggest less self pity and more proactivity. Do everything you can now while this is still the case to better yourself and your position for when things get worse. Getting mentally beat down is what they want. There are things in your power you can do to help yourself. Go do them.

@Heil_Honkler @Jim Kind of glad I got a home when I could still get a 3.6 fixed rate mortgage just before the rates went nuts and doubled. Talked to a family member who is pretty knowledgeable about it, they said that rate was like a fucking unicorn at the point we bought it and I got really lucky.

Property has been appreciating like a motherfucker too, 32% in just a short amount of time. My lender just gave up last year and sold my debt on at a loss rather than deal with me any longer.
