       @4WPub Finland is, I believe, a lost cause at this point.A self-ID law passed a couple of months ago, with the general support of the media and major parties. As far as I can tell, there’s no significant opposition in the country to any of this. Most people have swallowed the “let’s be nice, kind, proggressive people” bait hook-line-sinker. Worst thing, is that gender identity and biological sex seem to be deliberately conflated to muddy the waters. A government body or something already came out with a statement that gender identity should be the deciding factor when it comes to access to spaces etc., and questions of illegal discrimination.The only silver lining is that they stopped giving puberty blockers to kids, and were shifting towards less drastic interventions last time I heard. Caveat: I’m not actually in the country and have been otherwise occupied lately. I’m basically relying on links and tidbits fed to me by friends still there.  But I don’t see Finland changing course on this until and unless the entire rest of the western world does.

       @4WPub Interesting. I had no idea about any of this. I am Czech and live for the past nearly 20 years in another country. I also note Czechs do not seem to care about this as I rarely see any Czech feminists. I wonder if they exist...
