       I’ve been on Mastodon since 2017 and I’ve never been more sad about bird people coming here. I feel like I’m losing my safe space with all these changes in communities and increase of crapposts. I know it’s supposed to be an open space for all people and stuff but I can’t lie, I feel uncomfortable a little.

       @arh That discomfort is freedom and being alive. Embrace it. Fight the censorship and the bird people will go back to hugboxes like Facebook and Reddit.

       @amerika I assume they’ll leave as soon as Bluesky launches. They’re more used to bullshit of algorithms and chaos that birdsite brings so they feel some familiarity with Bluesky and feel more comfortable there.

       @arh Hmm, good point.It's now a two-tier internet.The apps people need hand-holding. The rest of us are running for the slightly more difficult, anarchic, but more informative open net.
