@ivesen @fluffy no, it's for tv shows. it forked from sickrage specifically to add stuff like better anime support.I'm sure Sonarr can do as good a job if you fiddle with additional sources and indexers but medusa does anime well out of the box

@fluffy @ivesen it's literally just an alternative to sonarr (which was featured in the image you posted)

@quad @fluffy sonarr does anime pretty well out of the box too...you do need to add indexers (rss feeds) manually thoughand you can't necessarily add shows as they're announced, but I just add shows as the season starts anyway

@ivesen @fluffy Medusa has out-of-the-box support for stuff like automatically crawling Nyaa.si for the episodes you want and AniDB integration for getting information about release groups.Although I typically just add release groups manually rather than having it pull from AniDB.It also adds Xem support, so it can actually properly detect weird anime titles. Like whatever show it was that named their S2 the same as S1 but with an extra period at the end or something. Which last time I checked Sonarr would definitely crap its pants at

@ivesen @fluffy So for example Medusa knows out of the box that "Demon Slayer: Yukaku-hen 01" -> "Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 1" rather than confusing it with the first season. It also supports fetching from private trackers like AnimeBytes. All without a single plugin, indexer, rss feed or whatever
