       Today I realised that a lot of the problems that we have with AI fabricating things is because we never taught it to say "I don't know" when it doesn't know something, so instead it just makes stuff up.

       @dominikg all these language models are fundamentally *not* knowledge systems. There’s no concept of “I know” or “I don’t know” there. These are just (very complex) “what’s the next most likely word?” auto completion engines. Illusion of “knowledge” is just an illusion.
