Do you ever think how wild it is how many people walk around with beverages all day and yet how relatively few of them are spilled? An absolutely amazing grasp of active physics and hydrodynamics in a highly variables environment and we mostly nail it. So anyway I'm really jet lagged already.

@seldo I remember when I first learned that it was easier to carry a nearly overflowing hot beverage without looking at it, it's totally true but defies reason. Now i do it by default

@CosmicTraveler wait, is this some tree-falling-in-forest-type parable? Like, if a coffee cup spills and nobody is looking, does it make a mess?

@jerryorr No, it's real. I'm always way more likely to spill if I look at a full cup while moving! One's body seems to calculate the movement better without looking 👀👀👀

@CosmicTraveler Yeah, it's crazy how the human mind works. Maybe similar to how if I'm walking up stairs, and then actually think about taking my next step, I suddenly forget how to walk and stumble.Uh... that isn't just me, is it?
