In the old days, the concept of homosexuality might have seemed offensive to Jesus, or 'against the natural order', and perhaps that is true. Similarly drinking fermented grape juice is unnatural, and unhealthy, but people like it, so do it anyway. Questions of morality are for contemplatives with too much time on their hands. Everyone else is too occupied trying to make it through the night, and get laid while they're at it. Meat is meat.

@Tilopa I always figured that Jesus was gay - I mean he was unmarried into his 30s, he exclusively hung around with other single men, John always talked about being the 'disciple he loved the most', Jesus' close friendship with Peter, Judas betrayed him with a kiss...And everyone got their back up when Jesus Christ Superstar tried to show a love interest with Mary Magdalene, probably because it didn't really fit with the narrative.Jesus himself never said a word against homosexuality. We often blindly believe what we are told to believe, but sometimes the truth is right in front of us...That is my belief, anyway...

@kannie479 Yep. And we all know male dogs are at it all the time. :D Like everything else, sexuality/gender, like the color of a persons skin, is just another battlefield, on which those who would keep us divided, order us to go, to kill, or die, under the banner of Hate.

@JoanMastodon @BlahBlah That all makes sense. However, I tend to think of Jesus, and Buddha being asexual, in that they transcended the desire for sex, that having nothing to do with their earthly mission in any case. Think of the anchorite, sitting in holy contemplation in a mountain cave, enraptured by the beautific vision....I doubt such a person has sex on their minds, unlike a hog like me, who is yet wallowing in the mud of sensuous desires. 😔

@Tilopa @JoanMastodon Yes, but I wonder if that is because were led to believe that priests were asexual...?Does it take away from the story of Jesus if he was sexual? If he was homosexual or bisexual?I mean, we were taught that Jesus was the Word made flesh...and most humans have sexual desire of some sort...
