@Jojothegoodperson @graf @sjw It's in the text of the law: it only applies if you are running a business (not fedi) that is under the jurisdiction of a foreign adversary (i.e., subject to the laws of China, Cuba, Russia, Iran, Venezuela), and you have at least 1m customers in the US in a single year.The age verification thing is requirements to verify age; this means requiring people to collect IDs, requiring you to upload your ID, etc. It is simultaneously being pushed in several states plus at least Canada, UK, and is probably being pushed because of the Davos fuckers:wef_digital_identity_proposal.png

@p @graf @sjw I don't really think it's a scary thing because I already had situations where I had to present my ID. For example,at the library, in order to rent a book, I needed to create my account, and for that they asked for my ID.
