@DrALJONES No need to use a new descriptive word here: it's classism, entirely and only. We have one class of people convinced that their state of being has greater value to the species than the state of another, "long term" as well as short term: in every term!Classism is a subset of tribalism, but I see no reason to apply that broader term here; classism is exclusive enough. It describes precisely the dehumanization of the desired contingent of people.
