       @mafeesh There are many who are monitoring the fascists surfacing worldwide. They're all playing off of each other while we're still busy trying to get the American press to notice.I'm convinced we're going to have to spread our message ourselves. No more waiting for the press to spread the word.We're fighting for democracy. That's a battle we can't afford to lose.A big f**king deal.

       @RamonaGrigg I totally agree, which is a main reason I left a country allegedly run as a "democracy" and came to one that is quite obviously a benevolent dictatorship under the guide of democracy.Democracy has tipped too far in the the UK/USA and other countries.  It has led to incompetent, unqualified and downright nasty individuals being elected, as the snake oil salesmen find it easy to con the mentally deficient.  When this happens, democracy fails and the lowest common denominator rules

       @mafeesh It might look that way, but the beauty of a democracy such as ours is that in time it'll right itself.Trumpism and the cult that followed will be a bitter memory and we'll learn from this.It may not happen in my lifetime but it'll happen. Complacency is our current bugaboo. Too many are sheltered from the pain, even while they howl along with us. The Republicans will destroy themselves while the rest of us keep building our army of do-gooders.Just a matter of time.
