       Be careful about AGI doomers; it's like the Patriot act. The latter denies citizens their privacy in exchange for security. AGI doomers seek to deny powerful thinking tools in exchange for a fictional threat. Don't be bamboozled, think harder.

       Use the new thinking tools to think even harder about how humanity gets us out of many entanglements we are burdened with (i.e., climate change, pandemics, nuclear war, etc.).

       @ceperez But aren’t those same tools also new entanglements whose implications we may understand even less. Will they not bring their own challenges for humanity and make some things worse, along with any benefits. An ever accelerating stack of looping technological complexity. Will we not eventually lose control?
